Who we are

QuickVidya is operated by Dosvak ("we"). For the data an institute keeps in its QuickVidya site — students, parents, staff — the institute is the Data Fiduciary under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 and we are its Data Processor. For this website and for the account of the person who registers an institute, we are the Data Fiduciary.

What we collect on this website

• Registration: institute name, type, board, city and state, the administrator's name, email and mobile number, the chosen sub-domain and plan, and the consent you give.
• Contact form: your name, email, optional mobile and institute, and your message.
• Technical: IP address and user agent for security and rate limiting; a language preference cookie; no advertising trackers.

Why we use it

• To create and run your institute's site, send its login details and trial / renewal notices (email and WhatsApp).
• To answer enquiries and provide support.
• To bill subscriptions (GST invoices) and pay resellers.
• To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.

Children's data in institute sites

Institute sites hold data about children. QuickVidya is built so that the institute can meet its DPDP obligations: verifiable parental consent records, purpose-wise consent logs and withdrawal, Aadhaar shown only as the last four digits, data minimisation by default, an immutable audit log, and an export bundle when an institute leaves. We never use children's data for advertising or profiling, and no student data appears on this website.

Where data lives and how long

All data is stored on servers in India. Each institute has its own database and file store; encrypted backups are taken hourly to a second location in India. We keep registration and billing records for as long as the account exists plus the period required by tax law (eight years for invoices). Contact enquiries are deleted after two years. System logs are retained for 180 days as required by CERT-In directions.

Sharing

We share data only with processors needed to run the service (hosting in India, email and WhatsApp / SMS delivery, payment gateway) under contract, with a reseller if you registered through one, and with authorities when the law requires it. We do not sell personal data.

आपके अधिकार

You may ask for access, correction, erasure and a copy of your data, withdraw consent, or nominate someone to exercise your rights. Parents and students should first contact their institute, which controls that data; we help the institute respond. Complaints go to our grievance officer and, if unresolved, to the Data Protection Board of India.

कुकीज़

This site sets a session cookie, a CSRF token for signed-in users and a `preferred_language` cookie when you switch language. There are no third-party analytics or advertising cookies.
